Anyone who is interested in this discipline and also interested in participating in the activities of the Society can become a member of the Society for Improvisation in Classical Music. Membership is not limited by age or musical experience; the SICM is open to professional musicians, music educators and other cultural workers, as well as amateur musicians and classical music improvisation fans with no personal experience of playing music. By filling out an application form, an applicant does not automatically become a member of SICM; all applications will first be reviewed by the SICM leadership, who will then contact the applicant.
